You can add this to the list of things they are misleading the gamers with

The games engine is not new and in fact is just a tweaked and upgraded Quake 3 Engine.

As soon as I saw the Trailer the other night I could instantly tell this was not a new engine.

There was a severe lack of graphical quality and detail not to mention it still looked like a typical over saturated DX9 game, with a bit of shine added to the players, trees etc to make them look slightly better.

Yep, and right on the store page it says "The Introduction of a New Next-Gen Engine"  - It is in no way "new" or "next-gen" yet somehow they manage to get away with blatantly lying to the customers over and over and over...

The worst part is that their target audience (casual players) will read that statement and take it at face value... never realizing until AFTER they buy the game that it is NOT a new engine. = More people scammed into buying with blatant lies.

given the majority of people dont actually have a clue what an engine is..

the games being developed with the next gen consoles as lead platform, the game will have features only possible on next gen consoles the engine is a designed and changed for next gen consoles. Yet you are arguing this point on the pc forum....
